Music

I made this website back in 2018 as part of one of my modules at the University of Sheffield where I studied music. Originally I had a load of blog posts I had to write about a quirky theatre show I wrote the music for as part of my final composition porfolio. As I started to work more in location sound recording and the more technical side, this website has developed into an online portfolio of my technical work as a location sound recordist and sound department assistant.

I must have deleted the old posts as I changed this website to be slightly more professional, but now I wish they were here for me to look back on. Instead, I thought I’d bring this music page back which hasn’t been permanently deleted.

It may not relate to the location sound recording world I’m currently in as I’m not looking for any musical jobs anymore, but it gives me joy to look back at these pieces and I enjoy the happy memories they bring. I’ve started to realise I can use my musical skills and previous training in combination with the new technical location sound recording skills I have. I’d love to work as the production sound mixer on something musical one day!
